Attack of the Assweasels

Well, I guess it had to come. This story first got some play in New York Magazine. Then, Wonkette got a hold of it, God bless her:

At a recent dinner party hosted by New York Times D.C. bureau chief Philip Taubman and his wife, Times reporter Felicity Barringer, and attended by Arthur Sulzberger Jr., Maureen Dowd, Steven Weisman, and Elisabeth Bumiller, Rice was reportedly overheard saying, “As I was telling my husb—” and then stopping herself abruptly, before saying, “As I was telling President Bush.”

Anyway, this blurb has rocketed around the blogosphere, even showing up as a gossip item in the Houston Chronicle and the New York Post. Unfortunately, there are enough fucktards on this planet who have decided that Condoleezza Rice is "out of the mainstream" of the Black Community to conclude that Bush and Rice are doing the Nasty.
They have done so precisely because they disagree with Rice politically, not because they have any evidence that Rice is granting Bush her sexual favors. That's a crock, peddled by people who know the two as cardboard cutout characters, nothing more.

This week's chief offender is from the Culturekitchen blog, who takes a slip of Condi's tongue and turns it into an exegesis on Condoleezza Rice, Sally Hemmings for the Latter Days:
Condolezza Rice and George Bush are a more than a political partnership; they are a couple --and a good looking couple at that. Yes, I have said it. The President's wife is the most powerful negresse in the Unites States because, well, she is boinking the president. Not that she is not an intelligent woman who could not easily serve other presidents. She obviously has the credentials, expertise and know-how. Still, you have to wonder how can a woman, and a black woman at that, can get so far up in the ranks of one of the most despicably imperialist, racist and misogynist administrations since the Teddy Roosevelt years.

The most powerful negresse in America gets her hand slobbered on by an on-the-take French beureaucrat...

And I always thought Teddy Roosevelt was a standup guy!

Now aside from the usual Major Assumptions that drive Left Thinking into a ditch, there's one thing that sticks in my craw. Aside from the presence of Laura Bush, who might object to a Spike Lee movie being played out in her Prarie Chapel dream home, the article softpeddles the capabilities of Dr. Rice, and caters to every black woman's nightmare of sexual exploitation by powerful white men. And so, like bad heavy characters from an Ayn Rand novel, the Ellsworth Toohey's of the Black Community believe in the following nonsense:

To wit, it is impossible for a black female such as Dr. Rice to succeed on her own merits in a racist, mysoginistic administration such as the Bush Cheney Oil Mafia. So, there has to be another reason why she has risen so far: She's boinking the President. Q.E.D.

This is what pisses me off about lefties and liberals. Rice and the Bush family have been very close, going back to the Elder Days of Bush I (the First Age, before the War of the Ring...). Rice and Bush share a common religious conviction and a shared view of the world. Occam's Razor suggests that the simplest explanation is the best; her pursuit and advocacy of policies she agrees with happen to coincide with her personal affinity for the Bushes as a family. How and ever, that's too simple for the Sally Hemmings crowd: no black woman, no normal black woman, would ever consent to being the willing tool of George W. Bush and his rapacious oil goons.

So, she must have given something up to get power. Naturally, because black leftists just don't like a female black conservative, they assume she gave up her virtue to the Two-timer from Midland. Unfortunately, I suspect that the peddlers of this racist, self-loathing dogma speak for far more black Americans than one would expect. What's more, it speaks to a belief that black women cannot rise on their own merits.

One can imagine Ellsworth Toohey's paid mob rampaging through the streets in ignorant protest of avant-guard building styles to have greater intellectual merit than this porridge.

Thankfully, the life and service of Dr. Condoleezza Rice put the lie to this billingsgate. I strongly suspect that the higher she rises, the more hysterical her enemies on the Black Left will become.
