"History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it."-Winston S. Churchill

"The wandering scholars were bound by no lasting loyalties, were attached by no sentiment of patriotism to the states they served and were not restricted by any feeling of ancient chivalry. They proposed and carried out schemes of the blackest treachery."-C.P. Fitzgerald.

You have, by now, see the rather disgusting photos of the abuse of prisoners at Abu Gharaib prison in Iraq. Bottom line? These asshats need to be brought up before a General Courts Martial under the auspices of the UCMJ. If found guilty, they should be sent to Leavenworth. Period.

They have dishonored the banners of the units that fought and won the Iraq campaign. Further, they have dishonored the fallen soldiers who died so that their nation might continue to live in freedom and the Iraqi nation know something more than torture and shame.

Thankfully, these photos have not "lost the war" for us. Our men in the field are professionals, and are quite capable of dealing with the situation at hand. Those who think otherwise think too much of the Arabs as soldiers. Nevertheless, the bad apples must be picked from the barrel.

Speaking of swine, a special barrel of pig's fat goes out to the porkers at Al-Jazeera, who breathed not a word about torture during the Saddam years, but have discovered it all of a sudden in the past week.
