"History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it."-Winston S. Churchill

"The wandering scholars were bound by no lasting loyalties, were attached by no sentiment of patriotism to the states they served and were not restricted by any feeling of ancient chivalry. They proposed and carried out schemes of the blackest treachery."-C.P. Fitzgerald.

Alfred! Robin and I appear to need some buttermilk!

Holy dogshit, folks.

It appears that one of the pajama-clad bloggers from Wizbang point towards one Marty Heldt as the forger or peddler of forgeries. This individual is in fairly tight with Tom Harkin (D-Iowa). Harkin, you'll recall was out of the box like Jack himself when this story broke. Meantime, Tim Blair and Just One Minute appear to point to a disgruntled former TANG officer named Bill Burkett.

There also appear to be rumblings about another disgruntled farmer, this time outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

Meantime, Dan Rather's credibility is in tatters. All that is occuring now is for CBS to figure out a graceful climbdown.
