"The wandering scholars were bound by no lasting loyalties, were attached by no sentiment of patriotism to the states they served and were not restricted by any feeling of ancient chivalry. They proposed and carried out schemes of the blackest treachery."-C.P. Fitzgerald.

Loose lips do sink ships

The following movements were screamed aloud on MSNBC: 900 Marines pulled out of Kosovo and moved to Eastern Med. War orders issued to infantry units, one step below "operational orders". Picture of ships moving out of Yokosuka show the colors on the mainmast. IIRC, according to naval tradition, the battle flag is put on the mainmast only in times of war (Halsey did that immediately on hearing that Pearl Harbor had been attacked). Any old salts please advise.
